This weekend was the League of the Americas, the largest competition of Football 7 clubs in Latin America. The matches were at the Zico Football Center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The great champion was Foz NALE (BRA), who beat Maringá (BRA) in the Shoot-Outs after a 3-3 draw. In addition to the trophy for the champion, the organization awarded the best players of the tournament.
The first prize was for the best goalkeeper of the competition, given to Diego Andrade, from RCH (ECU). The player showed safe performances and helped the Ecuadorian team reach the semifinals. Another award winner was Robson Enes, chosen with the best coach. The Foz NALE coach (BRA) managed the Brazilian team well for the title.
The artillery of the competition was for two players of the runner-up, Maringá (BRA). With eight goals each, Juninho and Boni were highlights in the good campaign of the Brazilian team. The most important individual award was given to Dionata, from Foz NALE. The player made a brilliant championship, helping the team midfield.
