The next edition of the Copa América de Football 7 has its host city and dates confirmed. Porto Alegre, Brazil, will stage the tournament from November 23 to 25. Held since 2017, the competition has established itself as one of the most important events on the continental Football 7 calendar and is set to turn the city into the epicenter of the sport in the Americas.
Organizers are expecting a record number of participating countries, with top national teams from Latin America and some of the continent’s best players on display. Brazil and Mexico are among the main contenders and are expected to field athletes who have already been named the best in the world, such as Lipao from Brazil and Eddie Sanchez from Mexico.
The Mexican national team, the reigning champion, is already confirmed for the competition and enters once again as one of the favorites for the title. All matches will feature international-level television broadcast, expanding the event’s global reach. The women’s tournament will also be part of the Copa América de Football 7, where Brazil are the current four-time champions, underscoring the high technical standard and prestige of the competition.
