The Football 7 Centroamerica Cup was an absolute success. The competition that brought together sixteen teams from four countries had a Mexican final in the men's category and fought for the title the powerful team of Sidekicks, current world champion and Piedrinis, young team that is commanded by Miguel Angel "Tequila" Ortigoza, elected three times the best in the world.
The arena was fully crowded in the grand final, with the presence of a large audience that honored a game of very high technical level. The game was very even and remained tied for halfway through the second half. The sidekicks team showed more experience in the decisive moments and managed to reach the victory by 4x2, highlighting the brilliant performance of Hugo Rodrigues, who scored two goals.
With the title the team reached its third international achievement in the International Football 7 Federation, having been the South American Cup champion in 2016 in Lima (Peru), the World Club Championship in 2017 in Brazil and the Copa Centroamérica 2018.
