The eighth edition of the World Football Club Championship was held in the city of Puebla (Mexico) with the participation of 36 teams. The grand final was played between two Brazilian teams. The champion of the Brazilian League, SA Betesporte played against JardimF7, champion of the Copa do Brasil.
The game had a large television audience, being broadcast to more than 10 countries and was very balanced from start to finish. In the end, SA Betesporte won 3x2 and won its unprecedented title.
