The F7 Argentina organized the first edition of the Argentina Football 7 Cup, marking a historic milestone for the sport in the country. Held over three days, the competition brought together some of the nation’s top teams in an event featuring unprecedented structure, matching the scale and importance of the tournament, with all matches broadcast live. On the field, CQC Futebol Clube were crowned champions in the men’s category, while Panificados Libertar secured the women’s title.
Beyond crowning the first national champions, the tournament also played a strategic role internationally, granting qualification spots for major continental competitions. The qualified teams will represent Argentina in the Men’s Football 7 Americas League and the Women’s American Cup, both scheduled for November in Brazil, with the women’s tournament set to take place in Porto Alegre.
According to the president of the organization, César Gonzalez, the competition represents a turning point for the sport’s development in the country. “We are building a solid foundation for Football 7 in Argentina. The success of this first edition, with high technical level, organization, and visibility, shows that we are on the right path. Our goal is to develop the sport across all regions of the country and prepare our teams to compete at a high level on the international stage,” he stated.
