The United States National Football 7 Team has officially begun its preparations for the Intercontinental Cup, which will be held in Rome, one of the main stages on the international calendar of the sport.
The project started to take shape on May 2, with the organization of the first player draft on American soil. The initiative marks the first step in forming the squad that will represent the country in the competition, bringing together players from different regions and with varied experience in Football 7. At the same time, the coaching staff has also begun mapping talent and establishing contact with local clubs, aiming to raise the team’s competitive level.
The preparation is being conducted with a strong focus on organization and structural development, leveraging the potential of the U.S. sports market. The city of Dallas has emerged as one of the main hubs of this movement, offering favorable conditions in terms of both infrastructure and human capital. With a progressive plan in place, the American team is moving forward in assembling a competitive squad, aiming for a strong performance in the Intercontinental Cup, which will bring together national teams from different continents on Italian soil.
